My passion has always been helping others solve problems, whether that meant developing products as a Mechanical Engineer for General Motors for more than 30 years or helping dogs and their families build stronger relationships today. After retiring from General Motors in 2023, I followed my lifelong love of animals and joined a local animal welfare organization. In that role, I assessed shelter dogs, identified behaviors related to fear, anxiety, and stress, developed behavior modification plans, and helped determine each dog’s readiness for adoption.

My experience extends well beyond my professional roles. Since 2006, I have volunteered with rescue organizations and animal shelters, assisting with dog training, behavior support, and animal care. I have worked with dogs of all breeds, sizes, ages, and temperaments, using positive reinforcement methods to build confidence, encourage learning, and strengthen the bond between dogs and their people. I also have experience administering medications, creating enrichment programs, interpreting canine body language, and helping adopters find the right companion for their home and lifestyle.

I believe every dog is an individual and deserves patience, understanding, and compassionate guidance. Whether working with a newly adopted rescue, a shy or fearful dog, or a family looking to improve communication with their pet, my goal is to help dogs thrive by providing enriching, personalized care in the comfort and familiarity of their own home.

Your dog’s health, happiness, and safety are my highest priorities. As a proud member of the Pet Professional Guild, I am committed to using ethical, evidence-based, force-free training methods that prioritize your dog’s physical and emotional well-being.  I’m also fully insured and certified in Pet First Aid and CPR, giving you added confidence that your companion is being cared for by someone who is both prepared and committed to their safety.

You can feel confident knowing your dog is in knowledgeable, compassionate, and capable hands.
